1. The topic was brought up over a day ago by the GM, because she considered it fitting, then it was revived by Vicious. Who at least admits she's not that experienced of an RPer. Which was followed by you. However, instead of taking Vicious example and listening to the GM, you decided to deflect. Next time, listen to what your GM is telling you, she knows more about RPing and is more skilled at it.

2. The X-men Mansion is not a single large room, they're in the first floor hallway, not a soccer field, the characters could've easily heard Shade.

3. Even if your character did not directly reply to Shade, its always a good idea to keep your characters from being oblivious, have them react to things happening around them, even when those things have already passed. Now, I understand you might not have much experience in a more developed and fleshed out RPs (since 99% of RPs in ET are utter crap), but it will come to you if you're willing to listen to the more advanced players.

4. Don't be defensive. "I didn't bring this" sounds like deflection. If no one else does, I would have no problem with saying "I brought this up because I take issue with bad RPing." since its true.

RPing is about interaction and description, the consequent linking of events is the only way to tell a story. If a character alludes to your own characters, your characters should react to that in some way, otherwise you just have unrelated events, not a story. Should you have taken your GMs suggestion, Erik, Jakob and Lisa would be involved in a greater part of the story. Instead, they're just a little island formed by you and Vicious.

If I have a choice between my character appearing rude and me appearing as an subpar RPer, I'll make my character rude any day.

2010-09-10 [KnightAngel]: Well if there is something worth learning I'll make sure to, but otherwise I'd prefer to listen to people who has common sense ^^ And well at most then people around them just passes them by so yeah really easy to interact and usually they went to the elevator and yeah it might not be a soccer field but if you have any idea of the x-men universe you should know that even in the smallest area of the first floor hall there is quite a lot of space and I am saying this even if I only have limited knowledge, by the way the idea about the x-mansion being huge was meaning more about every single room already is huge to begin with first floor hallway being even larger than an ordinary room ^^

I should not have to ask again, especially since you seem to be insulting mine and Dur's intelligence, or "common sense" as it be. Keep in mind, I am the GM; I am the say-all be-all in the RP. I suggested that Erik react to Shade. You did not want him to. We moved on. Vicious read the comments, and reacted. You picked it back up, and continued to "make no sense out of it" even after we had moved on. The time to drop it and move on is now. If any more concerned needs to be addressed, let them be in a PM to myself or Duredhel, though I advise against sending myself one, as annoyed as I am by this.

So do not say another word about it here, and do not insult anyone else in this RP, considering you are a new player. (You don't simply walk onto a marching band field, tell the band director the way he has his students march is ridiculous, and makes no sense, and then continue to argue with him after he tells you to shut the hell up.)

In this case, you are the marcher, I am the band director, and I am telling you, in the nicest way, to shut the hell up. Kthx.
